I am Colin Fernandes and I'm here with shareAclass to introduce calculus (微积分). This course is gonna cover calculus (微积分) at the university level and it's mainly gonna be focused for engineering sciences business and stats (统计学). It's really to give and present the fundamental (基本的) tools that we have available to break down (分解) complicated problems into easy-to-digest (容易消化的) solvable (可解的) solutions that I personally use throughout my undergraduate (本科) degree and continue to use in a research capacity. We're really gonna start off with just functions (函数) nice and easy things. And we're gonna also talk a little bit about using multi-variables (多个变量). Now it's important that you feel comfortable seeing this kind of function (函数) form and knowing how to manipulate them with simple algebra (代数). And then from there I hope to then pull these kinds of simple concepts (概念) and things like derivatives (导数). I'll be using this form primarily because I believe that it provides some nice insight. Now remember that this is gonna be equivalent (等同的) to something you may have seen before as X prime (X’). Just a matter of notation (记法) but I will be sticking with this moving forward. Next we're gonna try and bridge the derivatives (导数) with the integrals (积分) which is the opposite or addition and subtraction of each other. And then from there I hope to then go into some complex numbers (复数). These are the tools that I find really break down (分解) problems that can be too hard to think about and give us a way of really thinking and analyzing it. The courses are gonna be structured with an introduction to the theory or topic and then I will cover either an example or proof (证明) for each one of the methods that I would like to show you. There will be 20 to 30 lectures or classes total and I hope to really cover everything that you guys need. Thanks!
